Our story

Danielle started braiding at her grandmother's kitchen table in Clarksdale, where tension was checked by asking "does it hurt?" and the answer had to be no.

For a decade she worked in salons fixing traction damage left by rushed installs. She kept a notebook of every hairline she helped bring back.

Wild Violet opened in a lavender-painted cottage on North State Street with two chairs and a waiting list built entirely on word of mouth.

Five stylists now share the studio, each with a focus, all trained in the same edge-safe method and scalp-first routine.
