Chapter 01

1954

Odile Laroux opened The Powder Room with six chairs, four hood dryers and a pink tile floor from New Orleans.

Chapter 02

Saturday sets

For fifty years, Saturday mornings meant rollers, hood dryers and Front Street gossip.

Chapter 03

The Festival

Since 1955 the parlour has done Christmas Festival curls for half the town.

Chapter 04

Second generation

Odile's daughter Josette ran the parlour through the eighties and nineties, adding color and perms.

Chapter 05

The restoration

In 2016 Delphine restored the building and rebuilt it as twelve private suites, keeping the tile, dryers and neon.
