Barber in a white shirt carefully trimming a young boy's hair in a busy shop

Est. 1998 · Freetown, Lafayette

Locs, fades & family since '98.

Three generations of the Thibodeaux family starting locs, cutting fades and keeping Lafayette's crowns in order.

The parlour

Twenty-eight years on Lee Avenue.

Clarence Thibodeaux opened the shop with two barber chairs and a loc station his daughter talked him into. Twenty-eight years later, Vivienne runs the loc side, grandson Andre runs the fades, and Clarence still sweeps up at closing.

Old-school craft, new-school care: straight-razor line-ups, interlocks you could set a watch by, and a coffee pot that has never once been empty.
