Our story

How we got here

The people, the room and the promise behind every appointment.

Our story

A vine, a courtyard, a studio

Blonde waves in a lavender field
Long waves against mauve
Long dark waves against lilac
Coral-pink crop against lilac
Long braids under violet light
Chapter 01

A vine, 2016

Lila planted a single wisteria vine by the courtyard door the week she signed the lease. She promised the studio would grow just as slowly — and just as beautifully.

Chapter 02

The courtyard

Our studio opens onto a limestone courtyard off Main Street, shaded every April by a ceiling of purple blooms.

Chapter 03

Gentle by design

Fewer beads, less tension and a lavender scalp ritual at every visit — so your own hair keeps growing underneath.

Chapter 04

Ethically sourced

Our hair comes from three small suppliers we've visited in person, with fair pay and full traceability.

Chapter 05

The apprenticeship

Every artist trains with Lila for two years before taking a full book. The craft is passed down, chair to chair.
