The Whitlock cut
Consult, scissor-and-clipper cut, wash, hot towel, style.
$40
Barbershop · SoMa, Little Rock
Five barbers on South Main doing clean fades, razor shaves and beard work for Little Rock since 2014 — walk in as a guest, leave as a regular.
The club
Marcus opened Whitlock in a former pharmacy on South Main with three chairs and a coffee pot. Ten years later there are five chairs, a cooler of cold Topo Chico and the same promise: on time, every time.
Every cut finishes with a hot towel and a straight-razor neckline. Members get a standing appointment and their name on the board — but walk-ins are always welcome.

The team

Owner · Master barber
Marcus has been cutting on South Main since 2014 and still takes the 8 a.m. chair every weekday. Ask him about the old pharmacy sign.

Senior barber
Luis is the shop's fade specialist — tight, blurry and consistent every two weeks. He's also the reason the playlist is good.

Barber
Thirty years behind a chair and the steadiest razor in Pulaski County. Dale's regulars have been following him since the nineties.

On time to the minute, every single visit. Marcus runs this place like a watch.
Best straight-razor shave in Arkansas. Three hot towels and I almost fell asleep.
Brought my son in for his first real cut. Dale took his time and gave him a lollipop and a mirror check like a grown man.
