Meet Val
Hi, I’m Val. My hair changes monthly.
I grew up in Oklahoma City doing my cousins’ hair with drugstore dye and a shower cap. My own hair has been every color on the wheel, usually two at a time, and it is still soft, which is the whole point.
I work by myself in a loft studio by campus. I lift slowly with a bond builder, I place every color by hand, and I will talk you through the fade before you fall in love with the first day.

Kind words from the chair
I came in with three Pinterest boards and left looking like all of them, somehow.
My split dye has the cleanest part line I have ever seen.
Val did my money piece for graduation and the photos are unreal.

Good to know
Questions, answered
How long do vivids last?
Four to six weeks before they soften. Cold rinses and a color-depositing conditioner help.
Do I need bleach?
For most vivids, yes. Pastels and neons need a very pale base.
Can you do vivids on dark hair?
Yes, often in two visits so your hair stays healthy.
Will it stain my pillowcase?
The first week, probably. Sleep on a dark one.
Do you do natural colors?
Rarely. I am happiest with color you can see from across the street.
Do you take walk-ins?
No, vivids need planning. Book a free consult.
