The lounge

Rafael grew up sweeping his grandfather's barbershop on the West Side. When he opened The Gilt Razor in 2017, he kept the rituals — the hot towels, the straight razor, the respect — and added black lacquer, brass and the best skin fades in South Texas.
Seven barbers work under gold-leaf mirrors in a 1890s brewhouse. Every service starts with a drink at the bar and ends with a hot towel. Nobody leaves without a mirror check.
