Color is a big commitment of your time and ours. These policies keep the schedule fair for everyone.
Consult first
New guests and all transformations, vivids and corrections begin with a complimentary consult & strand test.
48-hour patch test
Required for first-time permanent color guests. It takes two minutes at your consult.
Deposits
Services over $200 hold with a $50 deposit, applied to your service total.
Cancellations
Please give 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the deposit.
Running late
We'll hold your chair 15 minutes. After that, we may need to adjust or reschedule the service.
Color guarantee
Not in love? Tell us within 7 days and we'll adjust the tone complimentary.

Good
questions.
Do you do haircuts?
No — we're color only, on purpose. We're happy to recommend cutters in Bishop Arts we love, and we finish every service with a blowout.
Can you go from black box dye to platinum?
Often, yes — over multiple sessions, with bond builder and a strand test first. Some hair can't safely reach platinum; if that's yours, we'll tell you honestly and design the brightest healthy alternative.
Why do you weigh formulas?
Because "a little more 9V" isn't repeatable. Weighing every bowl to 0.1g means your color is identical every visit, no matter which colorist you see.
How long does a vivid color last?
Pastels soften in 3–5 weeks, saturated vivids in 5–8. Cold rinses, sulfate-free shampoo and your take-home color mask make a big difference.
Can I get a copy of my formula?
Always. It's texted after every visit, and we'll print and sign a formula card on request — free.
