Ruby learned Sisterlocks in London and braiding from her aunts in Lagos, and decided she wanted both disciplines under one roof.
In 2014 she found a narrow row house on Seventh Street with tall windows and a fireplace. The walls became wine-dark within a month.
The maison never holds more than four guests. Quiet is a service, not an accident.
Nia joined in 2019 to lead scalp and edge restoration. It is now the most requested consultation we offer.
Each specialist trains for two years in the maison method before taking a full book.
