Kinfolk is a loc studio in Deep Deuce run by master loctician Amara Okafor. We start locs, maintain them, repair them and style them — and we teach you how to love them between visits.

Every appointment starts with a scalp check and ends with a style you can wear out the door.

Is hair included?

For braided styles, hair is included unless noted. Locs and natural styles use your own hair.

How should I prep for my appointment?

Come with hair washed, detangled and blow-dried unless you booked a wash service.

How do I book?

Book online any time, or call or text us — we answer between clients and usually reply within the hour.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens. Please give us 24 hours’ notice so someone on the waitlist can take your spot; late cancellations may be charged 50% of the service.

Is there parking?

Yes — free parking is right outside, and the entrance is step-free.
