Chapter 01

Leaving Austin

After ten years in a busy Austin salon, Wren packed her shears and drove north until the hills turned green and the pace slowed down.

Chapter 02

Above the bookshop

She found a sunny second floor above a Victorian bookshop on Spring Street, filled it with ferns and opened the doors in 2016.

Chapter 03

Lower-tox, on purpose

Fern & Foil switched to ammonia-free color and low-tox lighteners wherever results allow — and tells you honestly when they don't.

Chapter 04

Curls, properly

Odessa joined in 2019 and taught everyone to cut curls dry. Curly balayage became the studio's second signature.
