Meet Tola
I learned on my little sisters, on a Saturday porch.
My aunt braided in our living room in Scotlandville, and I swept hair for her until she let me take the edges. I was doing my sisters’ hair for picture day by eleven.
Now I braid in my own suite in Fondren. I keep tension light, I part with a rat-tail comb and a ruler eye, and I never rush the last row. If your scalp is tender, tell me. I will slow down.

Washed, blown out and detangled. Wear a button-up shirt.

Settle in
Bring a charger and a snack. I have water, Wi-Fi and a TV.

Is hair included?
Yes, pre-stretched braiding hair in 1, 1B, 2 and 4. Other colors are $20 extra.
How should I come in?
Washed, blown out and detangled, with no oil or grease. If not, add the wash service.
How long do your braids last?
Six to eight weeks if you sleep on silk and keep your scalp clean.
Can I bring someone?
One adult is fine. The suite is small, so no extra kids, please.
Do you do micro braids?
No. Smalls are the smallest I go, to protect your edges.
What if my scalp is sensitive?
Tell me before I start. I braid lighter at the hairline and check in every row.
Booking policy

- Deposit
- A $40 deposit books your chair and comes off the total.
- Cancelling
- Cancel 48 hours ahead and your deposit moves to a new date.
- Running late
- Fifteen minutes late, I may shorten the style. Thirty minutes, we rebook.
