Woman with long honey-blonde balayage waves seen from behind against a soft pink wall

Chapter 01 — The Strand, Galveston, TX

Balayage · The Strand, Galveston

Color that looks like the last hour of a beach day.

Hand-painted balayage, rosé glosses and soft lived-in blondes from a sunny second-floor studio three blocks off the seawall.

Chapter one

It started with one chair and a salt-air problem.

Island hair takes a beating — sun, salt, humidity and chlorine all in one week. Marisol spent eight years watching brassy highlights fade by July before she opened Rosé Hour to fix it.

Her answer is slow, painted balayage with bond protection in every bowl and a gloss that's tuned to how much time you spend in the water.

— Marisol Ybarra, colorist & owner

Captivating portrait of a woman with freckles and brown hair, exuding elegance and style.

I swim four mornings a week and my blonde still looked pink-gold in September. Marisol is a wizard with toner.

Told her I wanted 'sunset but grown-up.' She knew exactly what I meant. Grew out for five months without a line.
