Chapter 01 — Hello
Short cuts · The Strip, Stillwater
Hi, I’m Romy. Let’s go shorter.
Pixies, buzz cuts, crops and the slow, kind art of growing one out. I cut for the head you have, not the one in the photo.

Chapter 02 — The buzz
I shaved my head in 2014 and never looked back.
I grew up on a wheat farm outside Perkins and wore a braid down to my waist until my first year at OSU. One night I shaved it all off in a dorm bathroom, and the barber who cleaned it up the next morning told me I had a great-shaped head. I’ve been chasing that feeling for other people ever since.
Now I rent a sunlit room above a bookshop on Knoblock. I cut short hair of every kind — buzzes with a soft fade, French crops, curly pixies — and I make grow-out plans so you never hit the awkward stage alone. Bring your cowlick. I’ll name it.

Cuts & prices
Short hair needs a cut every four to six weeks to stay sharp. My maintenance prices reward the habit.

Kind words from the chair
I came in with hair to my waist and a lot of nerves. Romy braided it off for donation and gave me the best pixie of my life.
My grow-out plan had five stages and I never once wanted to wear a hat. That’s a miracle.
Best buzz in Payne County. The soft fade makes it look intentional, not like I gave up.
Video intro

Clippers, shears and a lot of checking the mirror — the whole short-cut ritual sped up.

Good to know
Questions, answered
Will short hair suit my face?
Almost always, once it’s shaped for your head and your cowlicks. We’ll decide together before anything comes off.
Can I donate my hair?
Yes. I’ll braid it in sections so it meets donation guidelines and mail it for you.
How often do I need a cut?
Every four to six weeks for most short cuts. Buzzes every three to four.
I’m growing out a pixie. Help?
That’s my favorite job. Book the grow-out plan cut and we’ll map every stage.
Do you cut curly short hair?
Yes, dry, curl by curl. Curly pixies are a joy.
Is it okay if I cry?
Completely. There are tissues by the mirror and nobody rushes you.
