Meet Kofi

Twelve years of patience.

I started my own locs in 2008 and started twisting friends’ locs in my dorm two years later. People kept coming back, so I made it my life.

I am gentle with tension, careful with product and honest about timelines. Locs are a journey; I would rather go slow and get it right.

How long until my starters lock?

Usually 6–12 months, depending on texture and care.

How often should I retwist?

Every 4–6 weeks. More often thins the roots.

Do you use wax?

Never. Light gels and aloe only.

Can you repair thin locs?

Yes, with interlocking and reattachment.

Do you do kids?

Yes, ages 5 and up.

Should I come washed?

No, every retwist includes a wash.
