Bridal hair · Hot Springs, Arkansas
Wedding hair for brides who own a leather jacket.
Undone buns, messy braids and vintage waves for lake, mountain and dive-bar weddings. Nothing stiff, nothing pageant.
keep it a little messy

Meet Hattie
I learned hair backstage at punk shows in Little Rock.
Before weddings, I did hair for bands and the girlfriends of bands. I learned to make a style last through sweat, rain and a three-hour set with a can of hairspray and a lot of pins.
I moved to Hot Springs in 2014 and started doing weddings for friends who did not want to look like a cake topper. Now that is my whole job: soft texture, a little grit, and hair that still looks good at 1 a.m.

Kind words from the chair
We got married at a bowling alley. Hattie made my hair look like a 70s album cover and it held all night.
Hiked two miles to our spot on Lake Ouachita and my braid did not move.
She did my grandma’s hair and my grandma called her “a real professional.” High praise.

Questions, answered
Can you do classic styles too?
Of course. I just keep them soft, so you look like you, not a doll.
Do you travel for elopements?
Yes. Anywhere in the Ouachitas, and I can hike. Travel is included for elopements.
How many people can you do?
Up to six on a wedding morning.
Should my hair be clean?
Second-day hair is best for texture. Wash the day before and skip the conditioner on your roots.
Do you do makeup?
No. I have three makeup artists I trust and will send you their numbers.
Can I bring my own accessories?
Please do. Vintage combs, fresh flowers, your mom’s barrette, all welcome.
