I learned to braid in my auntie's front room in Kumasi, and I learned bridal hair at my cousin's wedding in Houston, when the stylist they hired didn't know what to do with her 4C hair. I did it that morning with borrowed pins.
Twelve years later, braided bridal is all I do. I plan your style around your dress, your headpiece and your gele if you're wearing one, I test it at a trial, and on the day I stay until you're walked down the aisle.

How far ahead should I book?
Six to nine months for spring and fall weekends. I take two weddings per weekend and they go quickly.
Do I need a trial?
For the bride, yes. It's where we test the style with your headpiece and make sure it's comfortable for twelve hours.
Do you use extensions?
Often, for crowns and length. I source and pre-stretch the hair; it's included in the bridal price.
Can you work with my gele tier?
Yes. Send me photos of your gele and I'll build a flat, secure base for it.
Do you travel outside Houston?
Yes, anywhere in Texas with a travel fee, and destination weddings by quote.
How should I prep my hair?
Wash and deep-condition two days before, stretched or blown out. No heavy oils the morning of.
