Meet Dahlia
I picked up a razor and never put it down.
I grew up in the East End sweeping my tía’s salon floor, and the first time I watched her feather a shag with a straight razor I knew that was the only tool I wanted. I spent my twenties assisting on photo shoots and fashion weeks, cutting models in hallways with ninety seconds on the clock.
Now I keep a quiet studio on Cincinnati Avenue with a record player, low light and one chair. I cut texture that moves when you do and grows out without a fight. Bring your cowlicks, your old undercut, your three-year-old bangs — I like a problem.

Booking policy

- Deposit
- $40 deposit for new clients, applied to the cut.
- Cancelling
- 48 hours notice to move. Inside that, the deposit stays.
- Running late
- Fifteen minutes late means a shorter consult or a new time.

Questions, answered
Will a razor damage my hair?
Not with a fresh blade on wet hair and the right angle. I change blades for every client.
Can I get a shag with curly hair?
Yes, but I cut curly shags dry with shears. Mention it when you book so I hold the right time.
Why no blowout?
A razor cut is meant to be worn rough-dried. I want you to see what you’ll get at home.
How long will my shag last?
It looks good for six weeks and great for eight. After that it’s a different haircut.
Can I bring a reference photo?
Please do. Bring the one you love and the one you hate — both help.
Do you cut men’s hair?
I cut everyone. Price goes by the cut, not the person.
